Citizen Redevelopment Advisory Commission (CRAC)

Created in 1992 by the Redevelopment Agency (RDA) (Res No. 4-92; 5-92; 6-05), the "Advisory Redevelopment Commission" assists the RDA in an advisory capacity.

The Advisory Redevelopment Commission's purpose is to:

  • Develop and recommend to the Agency a long-term plan for the Project Area, and review the annual work program to implement the plan.

  • Develop and recommend to the Agency a plan for utilization of funds for low and moderate income housing.

  • Review other policy issues, such as design guidelines for future private and public development, related to the implementation of the Redevelopment Plan.

  • Foster citizen, resident and business involvement in the Redevelopment Project and its planning process.

Eleven Commissioners are appointed by the RDA to serve four-year staggered terms. The Commission normally convenes on the first Wednesday of each month. Commission Agendas and Minutes are posted at 1010 Tenth Street.
